MICHAEL HENNESSY HOME
In recent years, Michael has turned his eye towards painting, using the skills, patterns and materials traditionally used in woodworking to create contemporary canvases. About his work he says, “Life is a journey with layers of activity, interlocking, with geometry and pattern throughout. My work involves symmetry, flow, anomaly, order and chaos, working with and against one other. At times, the layers may be more or less apparent, depending on what we choose to see. With the idea that the art has a more cohesive feel in the home, I choose to work in an organic palette, reminiscent of the woods and materials I am experienced in using”.
“So, with pause between thought, the space is filled by focused action.”
In addition to his design work, Michael is an accomplished musician, songwriter and vocalist.
